It is the thrust of DepEd through the ECARP to make every Filipino child a reader at his / her own level. Reading is the basic foundation on which academic skills of an individual are built. It is essential for a learner’s  success. Grade three pupils are expected to be readers but unfortunately, based on the Phil-IRI baseline results, there are 18 non-readers out of 153 grade three pupils in our school. These identified non-readers have different learning styles (kinesthetic/tactile, auditory and visual). Reading achievement improves significantly when reading programs match individual learning styles and if it’s not properly addressed / treated, this will hinder the academic progress of each one of them.
